Katherine's path into birth work began over a decade ago, as a volunteer in a hospital maternity unit, where she first understood what it means to be present for a family at the threshold of something enormous. That early experience planted a seed, one that was kindled again through her own pregnancies, her own births, and the profound support she received from childbirth educators, doulas, and a community of wise women who held her through it.
Those experiences didn't just shape her as a parent. They called her forward into this work.
Katherine believes that every family deserves access to compassionate, evidence-based support and that the most powerful thing a birth worker or sleep consultant can offer is not a prescription, but an invitation for each parent to tune into the deep knowledge that already lives within them.
Her approach to gentle sleep consulting draws on attachment science, nervous system physiology, and a permaculture-informed understanding of natural rhythms, woven together with the clinical grounding of her certifications and the lived experience of supporting families through birth and the tender early days of parenthood.
She works virtually with families everywhere, meeting each one where they are and building from there.
Holistic gentle sleep support is not a method. It is a way of seeing, rooted in the understanding that babies are not problems to be solved, and parents are not failing when they need support.
Infant sleep follows biological rhythms that have existed far longer than any sleep training method. Gentle sleep consulting starts by learning to read those rhythms, not override them.
Attachment is not the obstacle to sleep. It is the foundation from which sustainable rest eventually grows. Every holistic sleep plan Katherine builds honors that relationship first.
Your nervous system and your baby's are in constant conversation. Responsive sleep coaching considers both, because supporting one without the other rarely works for long.
Moonwork was built on a simple conviction: that families should not have to choose between getting more sleep and staying true to their instincts as parents. That the mainstream advice, with its rigid schedules and its tolerance for crying, was not the only option available.
The name comes from the kind of work that happens in the dark, in the small hours, in the spaces between. The tending that nobody sees but that makes everything else possible. That is the work Katherine shows up for, and the work she supports families through.
Gentle holistic sleep support, when it is done well, does not just change how a baby sleeps. It changes how a family understands themselves, their baby, and what is actually possible when they stop working against their biology and start working with it.
"I believe every family deserves compassionate support, access to evidence-based information, and the ability to make decisions that facilitate a safe and empowering experience. My practice is built around heart-centered support that combines evidence-based information with an invitation for each parent to tune into the deep wisdom that exists within themselves."

"As exhausted parents, we were desperate. The personalized sleep guide answered questions we didn't even know to ask, and we finally started getting stretches of sleep again. It was worth every penny."
